1. Scope and contact
This policy covers the DevreGo Android app (package: com.devre.mobile), devrego.app, and support communications. DevreGo is developed by Hamza Yıldırım. Contact info@devrego.app for privacy questions and data requests.
DevreGo is free and ad-free. The app does not require an account or sign-in. This policy distinguishes processing on your device, optional online services you choose, and the website/support infrastructure.
2. Information stored on your device
The app stores project names and descriptions, source code, board/component selections, wiring and block layouts, library preferences, dashboard layouts, and change history in local app storage. It may also store your theme, last project, serial baud preference, and compiler server URL you enter. Downloaded or imported libraries and board catalogs are held in a local database.
Creating/editing projects, using the local assistant, and compiling with bundled compilers do not require sending this content to the developer. An uncommitted local-assistant proposal remains in the app session. Personal information or secrets you place in your code are saved as part of that code.
USB serial receive/send/status history is held in memory with timestamps and a limit of 300 events. You can clear it or explicitly export it. Live readings and connection sessions are not automatically uploaded to a DevreGo cloud log.
Android backups: Android backup is enabled for the app. Depending on your device, Android version, and backup/transfer settings, the operating system may back up app data or transfer it to another device. Android and your chosen backup provider manage that process.
3. USB, Bluetooth, and local networks
- USB: USB device/port identifiers, product and manufacturer names, vendor/product numbers, and driver information are processed to select a board, transfer firmware, and read/write serial data. Android requests the required USB access permission when connecting.
- Bluetooth: Connection permission requested by a user action is used to list the names and Bluetooth addresses of previously paired Bluetooth Classic serial devices and connect to your selected device. The app does not perform Bluetooth discovery or location scanning; this connection path does not support BLE.
- Wi-Fi TCP / OTA: The local IP address and port you enter are used to send control data or firmware to your selected board. Wi-Fi TCP and ArduinoOTA traffic are not encrypted with application-level TLS. Use trusted local networks.
Connection information is used to operate these features, not to build advertising profiles. The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, or advertising identifier permissions. Internet/network-state permissions support downloads, optional services, and local network connections.
4. Optional remote compilation and AI
In the older Workshop/Studio screens, you can configure a compiler service URL. Checking its status creates a network request. When you start remote compilation, the board profile, source code to compile, and library names are sent to that server. Its operator may process connection information and submitted content. Your chosen server’s privacy and security practices apply; only use a service you trust.
If you enable and use optional AI assistance in Studio, your project request text, selected board, and module list are sent to the chosen service. The server software supplied with DevreGo forwards this information to the OpenAI API when AI is configured. This is separate from the offline local assistant on the main screen. The API request disables response storage; it does not guarantee that all provider security, abuse-monitoring, or legal retention is disabled.
OTA setup information: Your Wi-Fi network name, Wi-Fi password, and OTA password are held in form memory and inserted into OTA setup source code and compiled firmware. If you choose remote compilation with OTA support, those credentials are also sent to the compiler server within the source code. Downloaded setup files and firmware installed on your board may contain them.
The supplied compiler server attempts to remove temporary source/build files at the end of processing and conceal source lines in logs. We cannot promise zero retention for different server configurations, unexpected interruptions, or provider logs. Prefer HTTPS services and review code before submitting sensitive information.
5. Catalogs, files, and external links
When you choose to download/update libraries or board catalogs, the app connects to Arduino download servers, recommended Espressif/GitHub sources, or the HTTPS index URL you enter. The recipient can see your IP address, requested file URL, and ordinary HTTP connection information. Your project code is not attached to catalog downloads; the app sends these requests without cookies or account credentials.
Import reads files you select. Exporting a project, source, firmware, measurements, or serial log is an action you initiate. If you select a cloud storage provider in Android’s document picker, the file may be transferred to that provider. Exported files may remain in the location you chose after you clear app data.
Manufacturer documentation and other external links are subject to the destination website’s privacy practices.
6. Website and support email
devrego.app is served through Cloudflare. When pages are requested, Cloudflare may process IP addresses, browser/HTTP headers, requested URLs, access times, and security/technical logs to deliver the site, secure the network, and prevent abuse. We do not add advertising, visitor analytics code, tracking pixels, or optional cookies to this static site. Cloudflare’s infrastructure security mechanisms are subject to its own policy.
If you email info@devrego.app, your email address, message, any name you provide, and attachments are processed to respond to your request. Support messages are routed through Cloudflare Email Routing to a Gmail support inbox, so Cloudflare and Google process email data as part of their services. Sending an email is optional. Do not send passwords, Wi-Fi secrets, API keys, or unnecessary personal information.
7. Purposes and third parties
Information is processed to perform features you select, retain projects on your device, obtain files/catalogs, answer support requests, serve the website securely, and meet applicable legal obligations. The app contains no advertising, usage analytics, or automatic crash-reporting SDK.
Recipients depend on the features you use: your selected board/local network device, remote compiler operator, OpenAI for optional AI, catalog/file providers, selected export/backup providers, and Cloudflare/Google for website/support services. These providers may process data outside your country. Review their terms:
These links describe the providers’ practices; they do not mean every DevreGo feature uses all services offered by those providers.
8. Retention, deletion, and your choices
Local projects and preferences may remain until you or the operating system clear app data. Libraries and board catalogs can be removed through the relevant in-app controls. To clear all local data, use Android Settings → Apps → DevreGo → Storage → Clear data / Clear storage; labels vary by device. Export projects you want to keep first. Manage exported files and operating-system/cloud backups separately.
Support correspondence may be retained as necessary to handle the request, ongoing disputes, and applicable legal obligations. Website/email providers’ technical records are subject to their practices.
To request access, correction, or deletion of support data under our control, email info@devrego.app. We may request the minimum information necessary to locate the data and verify your request. We will explain if records must be retained by law. We cannot remotely access or delete projects stored only on your device. You may also exercise other privacy rights and contact competent authorities under applicable law.
Steps and scope: Data deletion page (Turkish).
9. Age range and security
DevreGo is intended for users aged 13 and above, not children under 13. The app does not create accounts or request birth dates. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us through support, contact info@devrego.app.
You can manage permissions in Android settings. The security of your device also affects access to app files. Absolute security of network or storage systems cannot be guaranteed. Take particular care with exported code, OTA credentials, and unencrypted local network connections.
10. Policy changes
We will update this policy and its date when features or data practices change. Where appropriate, significant changes will also be explained through the app or website. The current Turkish policy is at devrego.app/privacy and its English counterpart at devrego.app/privacy/en.
